Union Square Mystery?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in a couple of weeks, buzzing to finally check out that crazy mix of high-end shops and street food. Heard it's a total sensory overload, which is exactly what I'm afte… more

Off the beaten track coffee in Union Square? Tough one, that area's pretty much all buzz. But try sneaking down into the backstreets around Wellington Street – there are some smaller, less flashy places tucked away there. It's a gamble, you might stumble on a hole-in-the-wall with amazing coffee and that old Hong Kong feel you’re after, or you might just find a laundromat. Worth a shot though, it’s part of the adventure. Good luck!

That's actually a great suggestion! Wellington Street, huh? I hadn't even considered those side streets. A laundromat wouldn't exactly ruin my day though, at least it'd be an interesting story to tell. I'm all about that "part of the adventure" aspect. Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check it out. Fingers crossed for amazing coffee and old Hong Kong vibes.

Lost on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and stumbled across this Belfran Road place online. It looks... quiet? Pictures make it seem really residential. My question is: is there anything actually *to… more

Nah, Belfran Road isn't exactly buzzing. It's pretty residential, like you said. Think quiet streets, maybe some local eateries tucked away. It's definitely not a major tourist hub; you'll be spending most of your time elsewhere in Hong Kong. Don't worry about it being "eerie," though – just… low-key. Use it as a base to explore the rest of the city. You'll be fine.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was picturing something way more… dramatic, I guess. Thanks for the reassurance. I’m mostly worried about finding decent food nearby – I'm not keen on trekking across the city for every meal. So local eateries, you say? Any recommendations? Even if it's just a good noodle shop would be great!
