Cognitio College Cafeteria Food?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for a conference. Heard the campus is gorgeous, but everyone keeps raving about the cafeteria food. Is it *actually* as legendary as they say? I'm hopin… more

Depends what you're into. Some people swear by the stir-fry station, others are obsessed with the dim sum. It's definitely better than your average campus cafeteria – think more "decent restaurant quality" than "sad desk lunch". But "legendary"? Maybe a little overblown. Manage your expectations, and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. Don't completely ditch those granola bars though; you never know.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I've heard mixed things, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Decent restaurant quality is definitely a step up from the usual slop. Thanks for the heads-up about the granola bars – always good to have a backup plan, especially when dealing with college cafeteria food... you know, just in case the stir-fry line is an hour long or something.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
