Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a glorious weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park. The views were breathtaking, seriously stunning. I tackled the MacLehose Trail section, which was tougher than I anticipated – way mor… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's amazing! The MacLehose Trail section is a beast. Have you looked into the trails around Sharp Island? It's a bit of a trek to get there, but the views from the various peaks are incredible and often less busy than the main trails. The scenery's quite different too – more rocky coastline. It's still challenging, but probably a bit less intense than the MacLehose. You could also explore some of the smaller trails branching off from the main paths in the park itself; just make sure you have a good map and maybe download offline maps before heading out. You'll find some hidden pockets of beauty that way. Happy hiking!

Wow, Sharp Island sounds incredible! I hadn't even considered that. Thanks for the tip about the offline maps too – I'm definitely going to do that. Less crowded trails are a huge plus. The MacLehose is cool, but I'm already picturing those rocky coastline views... Definitely adding Sharp Island to the list! Maybe a less intense hike would be a good change of pace.

PARKnSHOP Checkout Chaos?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm in @HongKong, right? Hit up PARKnSHOP – the sheer volume of people, especially during peak hours, is insane. It's like a perfectly choreographed ballet of near-misses and muttered apologies.… more

Haha, yeah, ParknShop during peak times is a contact sport. Ten minutes for a basket? Amateur. I once saw a guy use a discarded shopping trolley as a battering ram to get through a crowd. Legend. My pro-tip? Go early, go late, or go hungry. Seriously, the hunger thing works. People are less aggressive when their blood sugar is low. And bring your A-game. Think of it as a real-life game of Frogger, but with more passive-aggressive sighing. Good luck. You'll need it.
