Kamstore Chaos?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and naturally, gotta stock up on snacks. I saw Kamstore.hk mentioned a bunch of times – apparently it's HUGE. My question is: how do you even *navigate* that p… more

It's a sensory overload, that's for sure. No detailed floor plan that I've ever seen, sadly. My strategy is to go in with a list. Seriously. Write down exactly what you want – even if it's just "melon pan" and "wasabi peas" – and stick to it. Otherwise, you'll end up like you described. Also, don't go hungry. Seriously. You'll buy everything. And maybe bring a friend – one to keep you focused, one to distract you when your wallet starts screaming. Good luck! You'll need it.

Haha, a list! That's genius. I always end up wandering around aimlessly, completely overwhelmed. I should've thought of that. Going hungry is definitely a recipe for disaster... my bank account is still crying from my last visit. A friend is a great idea too, someone to hold me back from buying every single cute little matcha thing they have. Thanks for the tips! I’m definitely trying the list next time.

Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance

fmd_good Quarry Bay

It's incredibly crowded, that's for sure. Forget a quiet spot; that ship sailed long ago. Your best bet for a decent photo is to get there early, like ridiculously early. Find a slightly elevated spot – maybe a rooftop bar or a higher floor of a building along the parade route. The further away you are, the better chance you'll have of seeing the whole thing and getting a clear shot, although things will be smaller. But honestly, half the fun is the chaos. Embrace it. Just be prepared to fight for space and maybe get a little singed. Seriously, the heat is intense.
