Check out the University's own archives – they might have digitized materials or at least pointers to relevant sources. Academic journals focusing on Hong Kong history and political science would be a good bet too. The Hong Kong Public Records Office could also be a goldmine; you'll probably need to do some digging, but it's worth it. And honestly, a good, thorough search of reputable news archives from that time (like the BBC, Reuters, etc.) will yield a lot. Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
