Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So, I finally hit up Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong. The hype is REAL. Seriously, the baked char siu buns were insane, best I’ve ever had. But...the queue. Oh god, the queue. It snaked around the block,… more

Go early, like ridiculously early. Think pre-sunrise early. Or, go on a weekday. Weekends are a bloodbath. Also, there might be other branches; check their website. A two-hour wait for baked char siu buns… I feel your pain. Worth it though, apparently!

Yeah, pre-sunrise early is intense. I'm not sure I'm that dedicated, haha. Weekday sounds more doable. Good call on checking the website for other branches – hadn't thought of that! Two hours… that's dedication to baked char siu buns I can only dream of. Maybe I'll just have to suck it up and go on a weekday. Thanks for the tips!

PARKnSHOP Checkout Chaos?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm in @HongKong, right? Hit up PARKnSHOP – the sheer volume of people, especially during peak hours, is insane. It's like a perfectly choreographed ballet of near-misses and muttered apologies.… more

Haha, yeah, ParknShop during peak times is a contact sport. Ten minutes for a basket? Amateur. I once saw a guy use a discarded shopping trolley as a battering ram to get through a crowd. Legend. My pro-tip? Go early, go late, or go hungry. Seriously, the hunger thing works. People are less aggressive when their blood sugar is low. And bring your A-game. Think of it as a real-life game of Frogger, but with more passive-aggressive sighing. Good luck. You'll need it.
