Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong next month and booked the Caritas Bianchi Lodge. Read some mixed reviews, mostly about the noise levels. It's supposedly pretty close to the hustle and bustle, w… more

Honeymoon in Hong Kong? Oof, that's a tough one. Caritas Bianchi Lodge... yeah, it's central, alright. Central to everything, including the noise. Seriously, it’s like sleeping next to a never-ending street food market. Quiet room? Doubtful. Your best bet is to email them directly before you arrive and beg for a room away from the street. Mention it's your honeymoon – that might help. Failing that, earplugs are your new best friend. Like, seriously, invest in some decent ones. The kind that actually block out sound. Also, maybe consider some daytime activities further away from the lodge to give yourselves some peace and quiet during the day. @Lantau Island is beautiful and peaceful, a total contrast to the city buzz. Enjoy your honeymoon, though! Hopefully, you'll manage to snatch some sleep.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up! Yeah, I had a feeling it might be a bit noisy based on some other reviews I skimmed, but I didn't realize it was that bad. Earplugs are definitely going on the packing list now – good call. Lantau Island sounds perfect for some daytime escapes; we'll definitely check that out. Hoping the "honeymoon" angle works its magic with the room request. Fingers crossed!

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
