Nah, you're not crazy. Old buildings in @HongKong, especially ones with that kind of history, often have… quirks. Pipes settling? Electrical hum? Maybe some ancient ventilation system sighing its last breaths? It's probably mundane, but 3 AM is prime time for the subconscious to amplify any little noise. I've stayed in places with similar odd sounds; it's usually nothing. But if it was REALLY unsettling, you could always try asking the staff about it next time you're there. They might have some stories to tell!

Wow, thanks! Reaching out to the Kwun Tong district council is a great idea – hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely try that. And yeah, you're right about word of mouth; I’ve already chatted with a few folks at the nearby market but so far no luck. Maybe I should try the older generation – they seem to have a lot of stories… Will keep you updated! This is getting way more interesting than I initially thought.
