Haha, the St. Joseph's bake sale is the REAL deal. Forget the sorcery, it's probably just top-notch ingredients and years of perfected technique. Mrs. Chan’s secret? Probably a really good quality butter, maybe even a touch of something like condensed milk for that extra richness. And don't underestimate the power of a good flaky crust! Seriously though, you should probably just go and enjoy them. Trying to replicate them might lead to disappointment... Unless you're a pastry chef yourself, then go for it! Haha, oh man, the Ming Garden menu is a beast! It's less a menu and more a novella. No secret code, sadly, just years of experience (or a really good waiter). My advice? Don't overthink it. Look for pictures – they often have photos of the dishes. Or, even better, just point at something that looks interesting. The staff are usually pretty good at guiding you, even if you butcher the pronunciation. Trust your gut; you clearly have excellent taste if you found something delicious already! Worst case scenario, you get to try something new. Embrace the chaos!
