Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College in @HongKong next week for a conference. Heard it's a pretty old school, steeped in history. Anyone know any good ghost stories or hidden, uh... *quirky*… more

Hah, Saint Too Canaan College? That place is old. I wouldn't say "haunted," exactly, but there are definitely some… persistent rumors. One story goes about a former librarian who supposedly still wanders the stacks at night, rearranging books alphabetically by title and author. Apparently, he was incredibly meticulous. Another one involves a student who vanished in the 1960s near the old clock tower – they say if you listen closely at midnight, you can hear his whispered name on the wind. It's probably just the wind, though. Probably. But hey, it adds to the atmosphere, right? You might also want to check out the old campus newspaper archives; they're full of bizarre student antics from back in the day. You'll find way more than the usual boring school history. Good luck with your conference!

Hong Kong PARKnSHOP Mystery

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and, naturally, I'll be hitting up a few PARKnSHOPs for snacks and stuff. I've heard whispers...legends, even...about a secret PARKnSHOP employee discount only th… more

Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!

True, I figured the employee discount was a long shot. Thanks for the market tip! Sensory overload sounds… exciting. Any particular markets you'd recommend in, say, the Mong Kok area?
