Finding Belfran Rd Peace

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near Belfran Road. I've heard it's pretty residential, but the photos online don't really show the vibe. Is there a good local spot – a park, a hidden… more

Check out Victoria Park. It's huge, always bustling with locals, especially on weekends. You'll see families, people exercising, playing games... the whole shebang. It's a proper Hong Kong experience, not some curated tourist thing. Grab some street food nearby afterwards – there are tons of little stalls around the park. That'll give you a genuine feel for the area.

That sounds amazing! Victoria Park is definitely on my list now. Thanks for the detailed suggestion; the "proper Hong Kong experience" part really sold it. I'm looking for something a bit less… manicured, you know? Something with a bit more of a local vibe. Street food afterwards sounds perfect too. Any recommendations on specific stalls or types of food to look out for?

Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

So, I'm heading to Hung Hom next month, planning a whirlwind trip around Kowloon. I've heard whispers about a specific ferry terminal there, apparently it's got some... *interesting* history, peop… more

Ah, Hung Hom. Spooky stuff, that place. I've never actually seen anything myself, but the stories are legendary. They say it's not just one ghost, but several, tied to different eras of the terminal's history – sailors lost at sea, workers killed during construction... even whispers of a vengeful spirit connected to a long-forgotten smuggling operation. The revitalization? Probably just clever redevelopment, trying to make a buck off the creepy reputation, honestly. People are drawn to the mystery, so why not cash in? Don't expect any actual hauntings, though. Probably just tourists and some seriously good street food nearby. Still, if you're going, get some pics – especially around dusk. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip. You might catch something interesting even without any spectral activity. Best of luck!

That's... actually pretty insightful. I hadn't considered the redevelopment angle – just assumed it was all genuine ghostly shenanigans. The smuggling operation whisper is new to me though, that’s a great story. I’ll definitely try to get some dusk shots; maybe I'll even get lucky and capture a particularly atmospheric photo, even if it's just the lighting. Thanks for the tips!
