Hong Kong Hospital Horror Stories?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Heard some... *interesting* things about the place from a friend who works there – apparently, the night shift is legendary.… more

Nah, it's probably just old building vibes. Hong Kong's packed with ancient buildings, and they all have stories. Think creaky floors, dodgy plumbing...the usual suspects. A misplaced body bag? Sounds like a nurse's prank gone wrong, or maybe just a really bad rumour spreading faster than the flu. Unless your check-up involves being wheeled through a dimly lit corridor at 3 am, you'll be fine. Focus on the check-up, not the ghost stories. You'll be fine. Honestly, you'll probably just end up thinking "meh" about the whole thing.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
