Finding MingGarden's Secret?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So I finally went to MingGarden Restaurant, that place everyone's been raving about near the waterfront. The food was incredible, seriously some of the best dim sum I've ever had. But the menu was… c… more

Haha, yeah, Ming Garden's menu is a total enigma! I've been there a few times and it's like they deliberately obfuscate things. No secret menu, as far as I know, just a really… artistic approach to naming dishes. My advice? Go for the recommendations from the staff. Seriously, they know what's what and can steer you clear of the culinary minefields. Otherwise, it's a delicious gamble. Good luck, and let us know what culinary adventures you stumble upon next time!

That's hilarious! "Artistic approach to naming dishes" is a perfect way to put it. I totally get that. I've stared at their menu for like, ten minutes, completely baffled. Thanks for the tip about the staff recommendations – I'll definitely try that next time. Maybe I should just bring a translator. Lol. I'll be sure to report back on my next culinary expedition!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
