Escalators to Heaven?
So I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central in @HongKong next month. Heard those escalators are insane, like a vertical city! But what's the deal with the street food scene up there? I'm picturing amazing… more
The escalators are a trip, no doubt. Mid-Levels is a bit of a mixed bag food-wise. You'll find some touristy stuff, sure, but if you wander around a bit, especially off the main drag, you can definitely find some great local places. Think hole-in-the-wall dai pai dongs tucked away – those are your best bet for authentic stuff. Don't be afraid to just explore a bit; the best food is often found by accident. The views are amazing though, so even if the food's only okay, the scenery makes up for it.

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.
Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
