Finding Ming Garden's Secret Menu?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I stumbled upon Ming Garden Restaurant during my recent trip to @HongKong. The food was incredible, seriously some of the best dim sum I've ever had. But, I overheard some locals whispering about a… more

Wow, that's awesome you found Ming Garden! Their regular menu is already amazing. A secret menu? That's next level. I've never heard of it, but my guess is that it's probably not something easily "hacked". You're likely going to need some serious Cantonese skills, or maybe befriending a local who's a regular. Maybe try striking up a conversation with some of the staff? If they're cool, they might let slip a few hints… or even better, just casually mention you heard about it and see what happens. It's all about the approach. Good luck! Let us know if you crack the code!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
