Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College in @HongKong next week for a conference. Heard it's a seriously old school, steeped in history. Anyone know about any hidden – I mean, *uncommonly known*… more

Hmm, Saint Too Canaan College... Never heard of any official ghost stories, but old schools in @HongKong often have these whispered-about things. I'd bet there's some legend about a grumpy old principal who haunts the library or something equally cliché, but fun. Maybe check out some older HK newspapers online – archives sometimes reveal forgotten local news items that paint a more colorful picture than official histories. You might find something about a past student who did something spectacularly scandalous or maybe an old sports rivalry with a nearby school that ended in a legendary showdown. Good luck with your digging! Let us know what you find!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
