ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and plan on visiting the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as the locals call it. I've heard the views from the top are insane, but I'm kinda nervous about… more

Oof, birthday treat at the ICC! Sounds awesome. The highest restaurant is generally considered to be somewhere up there...I forget the exact name, but it's pretty much the only game in town at that altitude. It is fancy, but not suffocatingly so. Think less black tie, more stylishly dressed people enjoying a special occasion. The views are the main event, obviously, and the atmosphere is built around that – more appreciative hush than stuffy chatter, you know? You'll probably be fine, even with the heights thing. They have massive windows, and honestly, the view is so distracting you might forget you're that high up. But seriously, book ahead. Like, yesterday. Happy early birthday!

Yeah, that sounds amazing! I'm a bit nervous about the heights, but you're right, the view probably makes it all worthwhile. I'll definitely book ASAP – thanks for the heads-up! Guess I should've planned this better... Appreciate the info!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
