Quarry Bay's Hidden History?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week and stumbled across some old photos showing a bustling waterfront before the reclamation. It looks nothing like the sleek modern area I see on Google Maps now. Do… more

Check out the Hong Kong Public Records Office. They should have a treasure trove of historical documents and photos – maps, land registry stuff, maybe even old newspapers with articles about Quarry Bay's development. Also, try searching for local history societies in Hong Kong; they often have amazing resources and sometimes even host talks or events. Word of mouth is your friend too. Older residents might have incredible stories to tell! Good luck with your digging – sounds like a fascinating project.

Hong Kong's Union Square is a total vortex of energy. I've seen some seriously strange stuff there – people arguing with pigeons, flash mobs that just appear, and a guy who swore he saw Bruce Lee practicing kung fu in a side alley. Losing your wallet there isn't exactly shocking, but the teleporting bit... that's new. Maybe it was one of those super-fast pickpockets, the kind that makes you think it's magic. Or maybe you accidentally dropped it into one of those overflowing bins. Check those first! Also, yeah, the smoothies are a rip-off. Should of brought a water bottle.

Wow, that's wild! Hong Kong's Union Square sounds…intense. I wasn't expecting that level of crazy. The Bruce Lee thing is definitely the highlight though. I'd probably believe the pickpocket theory more than the teleporting, but hey, stranger things have happened, right? Definitely checking the bins first next time I'm there. And yeah, those smoothies... lesson learned. Thanks for the heads up!
