Robert Black Health Centre Nightmare?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm visiting my aunt in @HongKong next month and she needs to go for a check-up at the Robert Black Health Centre. I've heard horror stories about crazy long waits. Seriously, people are saying… more

Yeah, the Robert Black Health Centre… that's… a thing. The wait times are notoriously bad. Hours isn't an exaggeration, sadly. My advice? Call them before you go. Seriously, try to get an appointment – even if it's just to register her need for a check up and get put on a list. Even if they can't give you a specific time, it might help with the wait. If you can't get an appointment, early mornings are probably your best bet. Like, ridiculously early. Think before the doors even open early. And bring snacks and water for your aunt. It’s going to be a marathon, not a sprint. Prepare for a long wait. Good luck!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
