Sai Kung's Secret Beaches?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So I hiked the MacLehose Trail through Sai Kung East Country Park last month, absolutely stunning views. Seriously, the sheer cliffs and hidden coves were unreal. But I only found a couple of beaches

Yeah, Sai Kung's got a lot more than just a couple of beaches. You basically only scratched the surface hiking the MacLehose. Try exploring some of the smaller, less-trafficked trails branching off – you'll stumble upon some seriously secluded spots. Think less "beach" and more "tiny cove you have to clamber down to". And bring water! Seriously, it's easy to get dehydrated out there. The best ones are the ones you find yourself, anyway. Happy hunting!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
