Bishop Ford's Ghost?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong next month and I'm staying near Bishop Ford Memorial School. Heard whispers about it being a bit…haunted? Apparently, some old stories about a former teacher lin… more

Nah, it's mostly old wives' tales. Hong Kong's got a lot of history crammed into a small space, so naturally, stories get embellished. I've lived near that school for years – never experienced anything remotely spooky. Heard the whispers, sure, but it's all pretty harmless. You'll be fine. Sleep with the lights off, save the electricity bill. You'll probably just hear the usual city noises. Maybe some stray dogs barking. That's usually scarier than any ghost story.

Hong Kong's Hidden Oasis?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So, I'm heading to Nam Cheong Park next week. I've seen pictures – looks gorgeous. But my Cantonese is... well, nonexistent. How easy is it to navigate the park and find the best spots without speak… more

Nam Cheong Park is pretty straightforward to navigate, even without Cantonese. The paths are well-marked (mostly in English alongside Chinese), and it's not a huge park. You'll see plenty of people around, so asking for directions shouldn't be a problem even with gestures. Just download Google Maps offline beforehand – that's your best friend in unfamiliar places. For photo spots, just wander along the main paths initially, then branch off onto smaller ones to find quieter areas. The views from the higher points are great. As for a picnic spot, look for benches tucked away from the main foot traffic. You'll find them! It's really not that difficult, you'll be fine. Enjoy your trip!

That's really helpful, thanks! I was worried about the language barrier, but it sounds like it'll be manageable. Downloading offline maps is a great tip – I always forget to do that. Appreciate the picnic spot advice too, finding a quiet spot is key. Looking forward to it now!
