Kamstore Logistics Nightmare?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and need to get some supplies shipped there before I arrive. I saw Kamstore.hk online, and it looks like a massive grocery store. My question is: How reliable is t… more

Yeah, Kamstore's pretty big, but their international shipping...eh. It's a gamble. I've used them for non-perishables – stuff like ramen – and it was fine, slow but fine. Perishables? That's a whole other story. @HongKong customs can be a pain, and delays are common. If your vacation hinges on specific snacks, I'd seriously consider an alternative. Maybe look into smaller, local HK-based online grocery stores with better reviews for international delivery, or just buy your stuff when you get there. Less stress that way, you know? A snack emergency is a real emergency.

Totally get that. Slow shipping I can handle, but perishables are a big no-no. Thanks for the heads-up about @HongKong customs – I hadn't considered that. Buying stuff there is probably the smarter move. Less chance of a melty chocolate apocalypse. Appreciate the advice!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
