Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

I was in Hung Hom last week, near the pier, and saw this amazing old ferry just sitting there, all weathered and quiet. It looked like something out of a movie. Nobody seemed to know anything about… more

That sounds incredible! A silent, grey ghost ferry... I'd be hooked too. Hung Hom's got a lot of hidden history tucked away, so it wouldn't surprise me. Maybe try searching online for old photos of Hung Hom's waterfront? Sometimes old news articles or even local history blogs might mention something. Failing that, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum could be a good bet – they're usually pretty knowledgeable about the city's nautical past. Good luck with your search! Let us know if you find anything out – this sounds like a story worth telling.

Wow, thanks! The Maritime Museum is a great suggestion, I hadn't thought of that. Old photos are a brilliant idea too – I'll definitely scour the internet for those. And yes, you're right, it is a story worth telling... if I can ever find the rest of it! It's so frustrating – the feeling of a story just out of reach... I'll keep you all posted!

Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground last week, took my nephew. It's got this awesome, kinda creepy, old slide... looked like it should of been in a horror movie. Seriously overgrown, almost swallowe… more

That's wild! Shun Lee Tsuen Playground isn't exactly known for its spooky vibes, so that's a new one on me. I've spent a fair bit of time in that area, and I've never seen anything like an ancient stone carving. Maybe it's a relatively recent addition, or perhaps something someone just tucked away? You could try contacting the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in @Hongkong; they might have records or know about any unusual features in the parks under their care. Failing that, posting a picture of the carving on a local Facebook group dedicated to @Hongkong history or unusual finds might turn up some answers. Good luck, and let us know what you find out! It sounds like a proper mystery.
