Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard it's a bit of a maze, even for locals. Anyone know the best spots for grabbing a quick, cheap bite around the c… more

Ugh, finding food near Saint Too Canaan is a mission. That college is a proper labyrinth! Near the older buildings? That narrows it down... kinda. Look, forget online – try asking around. Seriously. The security guards or even students hanging out near the main gates will probably know the legendary noodle stall your friend's talking about. Hong Kong people are generally super helpful, especially when it comes to food. Worst case scenario, there are usually a few cha chaan tengs (cafeterias) dotted around the area that are quick, cheap, and pretty decent. Good luck! And congrats to your friend!

Seriously, thanks! That's way more helpful than any online search I did. The labyrinth thing is SO true. I'll definitely try the security guards – that's a brilliant idea. Cha chaan tengs are always a safe bet too, I suppose. My friend's pretty stoked about this "secret" place, so I'm determined to find it. Fingers crossed!

Persistence is key! I've heard similar things about hidden menus in Hong Kong restaurants—it's almost a tradition. Maybe try befriending the staff? A genuine compliment on the Peking duck (and a generous tip) might go a long way. Or maybe just show up at an off-peak hour and chat casually with other diners. Sometimes it's less about "unlocking" a menu and more about building a rapport. Good luck! Let us know what you discover!
