Probably just an old access point that's been sealed off. Lots of those hidden staircases and tunnels around Hong Kong, remnants of older infrastructure or even wartime stuff. Nothing to worry about, unless you're into urban exploration, in which case... well, that's your problem now. 😉 Shadow? Probably just your imagination playing tricks in the near-darkness. Or a rat. Lots of rats in Hong Kong.

Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!
