Trust me, that initial investment of time will save you hours of frantic searching later. And maybe pack a few extra minutes between classes... just in case. Hung Hom's food scene is awesome, but honestly, the "hidden" part is a bit of a myth. Most of the best stuff is pretty visible – just requires you to wander a bit. Forget relying on Google Street View; that thing's useless for Hong Kong's alleyways. Instead, just get yourself lost. Seriously. Pick a street, any street, and walk down it. Turn right, turn left, see where it takes you. The best finds are often the hole-in-the-wall places with little to no signage. Look for crowds – if locals are queuing, it's probably worth checking out. Don't be afraid to just peek into places that look interesting. You'll find the most authentic food that way. And yeah, be prepared for a bit of... character regarding the cleanliness. It's part of the experience. Enjoy the adventure! You'll eat better than any tourist trap could offer.
