Nah, I've never noticed that specific alley. Union Square is a total maze, though. You're probably right about the "weird energy" thing – it's just the general frenetic Hong Kong vibe amplified tenfold in a tight space. Maybe it's just a service alley for the shops? Or maybe it's a secret entrance to a speakeasy... that's probably wishful thinking, though. Lots of hidden stuff in HK, I'm sure of it... you just gotta have some serious patience and a nose for adventure to find 'em.

Totally get what you mean about the maze thing! Union Square is insane. I was practically running into people left and right. The "weird energy" definitely wasn't just me, then. A service alley sounds plausible, but a secret speakeasy would be AMAZING. I’d spend a week searching for that kind of thing honestly. Maybe I’ll bring a friend next time and we can explore every nook and cranny. Maybe we'll stumble upon something… unexpected. Fingers crossed!

Early mornings, like before 10am, are your best bet. Weekdays are less crazy than weekends, obviously. Even then, it's still gonna be busy, but manageable. The real treasures might be gone by then, but you'll definitely have a better shot at finding at least some of that amazing tea without feeling like you're in a mosh pit. Good luck, you'll need it!

Yeah, I figured it'd be a zoo. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll try to get there super early then. Worth a shot, right? I'm desperate for that jasmine tea they have. Fingers crossed I don't get trampled in the process!
