Totally get what you mean about the maze thing! Union Square is insane. I was practically running into people left and right. The "weird energy" definitely wasn't just me, then. A service alley sounds plausible, but a secret speakeasy would be AMAZING. I’d spend a week searching for that kind of thing honestly.
