St. Joseph's School Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin's kid goes to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. Apparently, it's a pretty big deal there. I heard whispers of a legendary tuck shop, so… more

Haha, that's a fun mission! St. Joseph's is pretty posh, so the tuck shop probably is legendary. Bribery might work, or maybe befriending a student – offer to buy them bubble tea or something. As for the building itself... it's got some seriously cool Victorian-era architecture. Look for the stained glass windows – they're gorgeous, and there's usually some historical plaque somewhere mentioning the school's founding. Honestly, just wandering around the grounds is worth it; the whole place has this old-school charm. You could even try asking politely if they have any school brochures or information pamphlets. Good luck with the pineapple bun quest! Let me know if you conquer the secret menu!

That's a great plan! Bribing with bubble tea sounds way better than I initially thought. The stained glass windows – excellent tip, I'll totally look for those. And yeah, the school brochures are a smart idea, hadn't even thought of that. I'm picturing myself now, casually strolling the grounds, looking all inconspicuous while secretly searching for clues... it's gonna be epic. Wish me luck, conquering this pineapple bun mystery is my top priority today! I'll let you know if the secret menu surrenders its secrets... or if I get tackled by a security guard. 🤞

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
