Belfran Rd Mystery?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm walking down Belfran Rd, right near the junction with that little street with all the amazing street food, and I notice this tiny, almost hidden alleyway. It's completely unassuming, just a gap… more

Nah, I've lived near Belfran Road for years and never noticed anything too unusual about that alley. It's probably just some old access way, maybe for deliveries back in the day. Hong Kong's full of these forgotten bits and pieces tucked away. You know, the city's built on top of itself. Lots of old stuff just… is. I mean, it is a bit spooky at night in that area, especially if you've seen some of the movies made around there. But probably just your imagination running wild. Unless there's a ghost story involving a vengeful noodle vendor... now that would be interesting. Let me know if you find anything out!

That's actually really helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought about it being an old delivery route – makes perfect sense. Hong Kong is crazy layered, like you say. And yeah, the movies definitely add to the atmosphere… maybe I was just being a bit jumpy. A vengeful noodle vendor ghost though? Now that's a story I'd pay to hear. I’ll keep you posted if I unearth anything more than a few stray cats and overflowing bins.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
