Belfran Road Mysteries?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to Belfran Road in a few weeks, it's supposed to be pretty quiet, right near where I'll be staying. I've heard whispers... legends, almost... about this little alleyway, some say it’… more

Honestly? Belfran Road is pretty unremarkable most of the time. The alleyway you're talking about...yeah, it's supposed to be haunted. Old wives' tales, mostly. I've lived nearby for years, walked down it countless times, never saw anything spooky. The dim sum place at the end, though? That's legit. Amazing char siu bao. So the "legend" might just be a marketing ploy by the dim sum joint, or maybe the ghost just really likes good food. You'll probably find it's just a regular alley, a bit grimy maybe, but definitely not terrifying. Unless you're terrified of delicious food. Then watch out.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
