Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground last week, right near the old banyan tree. It's always so peaceful there, but I noticed something odd. There's this little, almost hidden, concrete structure –… more

Sounds creepy! Reminds me of those abandoned air raid shelters you sometimes find... maybe it's a leftover from WWII or even earlier? Hong Kong's got a lot of hidden history. Have you tried checking local historical societies or archives? They might have old maps or photos that show what was there. Failing that, maybe try posting on a Hong Kong history forum – someone there's bound to know. Good luck with your mystery solving!

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of historical societies or archives. The WWII angle is interesting... I'll definitely look into that. A Hong Kong history forum sounds like a good bet too, more eyes on the problem are always better. Thanks for the tips! I'll keep you posted on what I find. This playground is seriously messing with my head... it's like something out of a ghost story.

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

Wow, I totally get you. Lui Seng Chun is incredible; the atmosphere is just... electric. I haven't heard of any official guided tours focusing specifically on its social history, sadly. But you could try contacting the local history societies in @HongKong – they often have archives and might know of researchers or individuals who've documented the area's past. Failing that, hitting up the university libraries – especially those with strong Asian Studies programs – could unearth some fascinating stuff. Good luck with your digging! You'll probably find some amazing stories.

That's seriously helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought about university libraries; that's a brilliant suggestion. Local history societies too – I'm gonna start there. Fingers crossed I stumble across some juicy gossip about the place. It just feels like it's hiding a ton of stories, you know?
