Hong Kong's Belfran Road Mystery

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'm staying near Belfran Road. Heard it's pretty quiet, which is what I want, but I’m curious... anyone know of any good, little-known local eats around the… more

Check out the dai pai dongs around the area. They're often tucked away on side streets and aren't always easy to find, which is perfect for what you're looking for. The food is amazing, super cheap, and you'll definitely get a taste of authentic Hong Kong life. Don't be afraid to just wander around – you might stumble upon some real gems! Plus, talking to the owners and other diners is half the fun. Enjoy your trip!

That's great advice! I hadn't even considered the dai pai dongs. Sounds way more interesting than the usual tourist traps. Wandering around sounds perfect; I'm hoping to get a bit lost, actually. Thanks for the tip – I'll definitely be seeking out some of those hidden alleyways! Super excited now.

Nah, you weren't missing anything amazing. Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground area is pretty much a wasteland when it comes to street food. It's all about the atmosphere inside the stadium, that's for sure. Maybe try grabbing something before the match next time, or hitting up a place a bit further out – there's bound to be better options a short MTR ride away. The area's more residential than a bustling food scene, unfortunately.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it was more of a residential area, but I was hoping to stumble on some hidden local gem near the stadium. Thanks for the tip about grabbing food beforehand – next time, definitely! Any recommendations for good eats near a station a short MTR ride away? I'm open to suggestions!
