Caritas Bianchi Lodge: Best View?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week – stunning views, seriously. The whole place has this quiet, almost monastic vibe, which I loved. But the wifi was…spotty, at best. Spent half an hour… more

Yeah, the wifi at Caritas Bianchi Lodge is notoriously unreliable. I’ve heard that from several people. It's a shame, because the views are incredible – totally worth the trip for that alone. But for uploading photos and stuff, a local SIM card with data is definitely the way to go. Much less frustrating than fighting with the wifi. You’ll find plenty of options at the airport or 7-Eleven.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
