Honestly? Probably just over-caffeinated students pulling all-nighters. Hong Kong is intense enough without needing spooky library lore. College kids will always find ways to make things seem more dramatic than they are. Think less "secret society" and more "five-hour energy fueled cram session." My guess is the "secret shortcuts" are just less-used staircases or something equally mundane. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone, right? Enjoy the graduation!

Honestly, just wander. Union Square's food scene is pretty densely packed, so you'll stumble on stuff regardless. Don't overthink it. Look for places with long queues of locals – that's usually a good sign. And don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of! That's half the fun. You'll probably find some stuff you love and some you don't... that's just part of the adventure. Have a blast!
