They're pretty spread out, honestly. Not completely scattered, but you won't find everything in one convenient spot. Best bet is to just wander around – you’ll stumble upon gems everywhere. The area near the main gate usually has a good concentration, though. Bring comfy shoes; you'll be doing some serious exploring. It's all part of the PolyU experience, I guess!

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
