They're pretty darn fast. Not quite rocket-launch fast, but definitely among the fastest passenger elevators in the world. I've ridden them—it’s a noticeable whoosh. You'll feel it in your ears, a slight pressure change. Don't expect to see the landscape blur, though. It’s more of a very swift, efficient ascent. Think less rollercoaster, more… efficient vertical transportation.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
