Maybe it's a remnant of some local folk belief or a much older marker than you'd expect. You should try posting your pics on a Hong Kong history forum – someplace like a local Facebook group focused on hiking or archaeology. Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.
