Union Square Mystery?

fmd_good Union Square

I was in Union Square last week, right smack in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. It's crazy busy, even for a commercial area. I saw this tiny, almost hidden alleyway off of Geary Street – ju… more

Probably just a service alley or some utility access point. Hong Kong is old, crammed, and full of hidden stuff like that – little passages, forgotten entrances... The ornate gates are likely just decorative, hiding something mundane. Think air conditioning units, electrical boxes, maybe even just a pile of old junk. Unless it’s a secret entrance to a triad headquarters, then... well, maybe you should just leave it be. 😉

Haha, yeah, that makes sense. Hong Kong is crazy old and packed in. I figured it was probably something boring, but the ornate gates got my imagination going. Triad headquarters would've been a way cooler find though… Guess I'll stick to dim sum for my adventures then.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
