St. Joseph's PTA Bake Sale?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm visiting my cousin in @HongKong next month, and she's a teacher at St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. She mentioned the annual PTA bake sale is legendary...apparently, the competition… more

One year, someone made a tiered cake that was a perfect replica of Victoria Peak. It was stunning, but honestly, the most insane thing? A parent brought in a whole roasted pig, carved into a dragon. It was…intense. The level of commitment is truly something else.

Wow, a roasted pig dragon?! That's... next level. I'm picturing it now, all crispy and magnificent. Did they at least have some decent cupcakes to balance out the sheer intensity of that centerpiece? Seriously though, that Victoria Peak cake sounds amazing. I'd love to see a picture!

St. Joseph's Schoolyard Legends?

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin, who went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School years ago, swore there were ghost stories about the old schoolyard. He talked about a shadow… more

Depends what you consider "haunted," I guess. Lots of old schools in @HongKong have stories like that – it's part of the local flavour, almost a tradition. Your cousin's probably just ribbing you a bit, but who knows? Maybe you'll feel a chill, maybe you won't. The schoolyard itself is probably pretty ordinary during the day. It's the night-time atmosphere that adds to the… mystery. Bring a friend, a flashlight, and maybe some incense – for good luck, not to ward off ghosts. You should have a fun time exploring though. Don't expect any poltergeist action, though.

Yeah, that makes sense. My cousin's a real joker, so I figured it was probably just messing around. Still, the idea of exploring the schoolyard at night... it's kinda tempting. Incense is a good idea, I didn't think of that. Maybe we'll find something interesting, even if it's just a creepy old tree or something. Thanks for the tips!
