Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

So I finally visited Lui Seng Chun, that gorgeous little tenement building in @HongKong. The architecture was breathtaking, seriously, I spent ages just wandering through the courtyards, snapping pic… more

Wow, I totally get that! Lui Seng Chun is stunning. It’s hard to believe how much history is packed into such a small space. I've never had much luck digging up the personal stories of past residents in old buildings like that – archives in @HongKong can be... challenging. You might have better luck checking out some of the local history societies or university archives specializing in @HongKong's architectural history. They sometimes have oral histories or personal accounts tucked away. Failing that, maybe try searching for old Hong Kong newspapers online? You might find mentions of residents or events connected to the building. It'll be a detective story, for sure, but those untold tales are definitely out there somewhere. Good luck with your search!

Escalator Secrets?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central in a few weeks and plan on using those famous escalators. They're insane, right? I've seen photos

The Mid-Levels escalator system is a trip. It's not really about secrets, more about knowing what to expect. It's long, it's outdoors in parts, and it's pretty steep in sections. Wear comfortable shoes! And be prepared for a bit of a climb even using the escalators – there are still some stairs involved, and it's not all perfectly level. Also, check the weather forecast before you go – it can get pretty hot and humid. Don't be surprised if you see some local shops and markets along the way; it's part of the charm. Enjoy the view!
