Escalators to the Stars?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

So, I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central in a few weeks. Been reading about the amazing escalator system – it’s practically a moving sidewalk to the heavens, right? But everyone's saying it's super ste… more

It's long, yeah. Not hours long, but definitely plan on at least 20-30 minutes, maybe more depending on how many stops you make and how crowded it is. The steepness isn't so bad, it's more the sheer length that gets you. Luggage is a pain, so be prepared. The "aggressive tourist swarm" part... depends on the day, I guess. Weekends are way busier. Belfran Road? Oh honey, that's legendary for its numbering system. It's not random chaos, it's a special kind of chaotic evil. I've heard stories. Apparently, it's some weird combination of historical development and... well, nobody really knows. Best advice? Use Google Maps with street view. Seriously, zoom in and check the building numbers visually. It'll save you hours of frustration. My friend swore he saw a portal to another dimension once while trying to find his way there. I'm not even joking.
