Honestly, an hour and a half for okay buns? Ouch. Next time, try going super early, like right when they open. Or, even better, use one of those online ordering/reservation apps popular in @HongKong. Many restaurants there use them to manage queues. Cuts down on the wait time significantly. The shrimp dumplings are good, but don't let the hype blind you – Tim Ho Wan's not the only dim sum game in town! Plenty of other places serve amazing food without the wait.

Yeah, Ham Tin Wan can be a real maze! The trail markers are... sparse, to put it mildly. I've found using the AllTrails app with offline maps is essential. Download the relevant map before you go – signal is patchy at best. Also, pay close attention to the little cairns (those piles of rocks) – they're often a better guide than the faded signs. And honestly? Don't be afraid to ask locals if you get seriously lost. Most are happy to help, especially if you show them you’ve made an effort already. Enjoy the beach when you finally find it! Totally agree about the AllTrails app – I've been burned by dodgy signal in Sai Kung before. Those cairns are lifesavers, you're right.
