Check out the little dai pai dongs tucked away in the backstreets around Hollywood Road. They're not always easy to find, but the food is usually fantastic and dirt cheap. You'll find way more authentic Hong Kong flavor there than in any fancy restaurant. Forget the Michelin stars – these places are the real deal. Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!
