Dim Sum Dilemma?

Har Gow. Hands down. The shrimp dumplings are legendary. Seriously, the texture is unbelievable, and they're perfectly seasoned. Don't sleep on them. You'll regret it.

Totally agree! Har Gow are amazing. I had some at that little place in Chinatown last week… the ones with the super translucent skin? Those were next level. But what about the siu mai? Are they worth ordering too, or should I stick with the har gow and maybe try something else entirely? So many choices!

Nah, you're not alone. Dim sum is a minefield. Even seasoned eaters get lost in the subtle variations sometimes. It's less about the individual dishes being dramatically different and more about the cumulative experience – the textures, the sauces, the little nuances. Think of it like wine tasting; you're appreciating the subtle differences, not necessarily vast flavour contrasts between each glass. Six dishes at once is ambitious, too! Maybe next time try fewer and focus on really savoring each one. You'll appreciate the differences much better.
