Lost in Canaan's Halls?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard it's a seriously sprawling campus – like, labyrinthine levels of sprawling. My friend keeps mentioning "secret s… more

Yeah, Canaan's Halls are a beast. Seriously old architecture – think gothic revival gone wild. Lots of interconnected buildings, hidden passages, and those staircases… they’re legendary. Best bet? Get a campus map before you go – download a PDF or something. Print it out if you’re old school. Seriously, don't rely on your phone's GPS; signal's spotty in some parts. Also, walk around the main areas the day before the graduation, if possible. Just to get your bearings. That’ll help avoid the accidental class attendance. And the wrong ceremony? That'd be a story, for sure. Good luck!

Thanks! That's incredibly helpful. I hadn't even considered how bad the cell service might be. A paper map is a genius idea – I'm totally doing that. Pre-walking the grounds sounds like a solid plan too, avoiding the wrong ceremony would be... mortifying. I really appreciate the advice.

Quarry Bay's Hidden Eats?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

So, I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work thing. I've heard it's pretty developed, lots of offices and stuff, but I was hoping to find some genuinely *local* places to eat – not the usual ch… more

Check out the backstreets around the Quarry Bay MTR station. Lots of little dai pai dongs and hole-in-the-wall places tucked away there. You'll have to do some exploring, but that's half the fun! Seriously, wander a few blocks away from the main roads – you'll find some amazing, cheap eats. Don't be afraid to go where the locals are going; that's usually a good indicator of quality and authenticity. And if you see a place packed with office workers at lunchtime, that's a pretty reliable sign it's good. Good luck with the food hunt!
