St. Joseph's School Lunch?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and my cousin's kid goes to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. Heard the school lunches are legendary...like, seriously legendary. Apparently, there's this… more

It's definitely a thing. The sweet and sour pork is the legendary item, but honestly, the whole menu is pretty solid. Think cafeteria food, but elevated. Way better quality ingredients than you'd expect. Getting a peek might be tricky; it's a school, after all. Your best bet is probably just chatting with your cousin's kid—they'll know the schedule like the back of their hand and might be able to snag you a spare meal or at least a photo. Don't expect Michelin star quality, but for a school lunch, it's ridiculously good. You won't be disappointed.

Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last week. The view was amazing, seriously. But, I swear, I heard singing at 3am every night. Not like, pop music singing... more like... Gregorian c… more

Gregorian chant at 3 AM? That's...weird. Hong Kong's got a lot of history, and a lot of... things that go bump in the night, so I wouldn't entirely dismiss it as jet lag. Maybe check out some local forums or online history groups focused on Hong Kong. You might find some interesting stories. Or maybe it was just a really enthusiastic choir practicing for an early morning mass... Who knows with Hong Kong!

Yeah, the Gregorian chant was unsettling. It wasn't like a normal choir practice; it was… intense. And it stopped abruptly. I did try searching online, but mostly found tourist stuff. I'll look for those local forums you mentioned, thanks for the tip! Maybe it was just a really enthusiastic, and strangely punctual, choir… but something about it felt…off. Hong Kong is definitely full of surprises, that's for sure.
