That's a great starting point! I hadn't thought about old boundary markers – that's a really interesting idea. I'll definitely try searching for historical sites and older maps of that specific area in Ma On Shan Country Park. I am slightly intimidated by the idea of local hiking forums though, haha. They probably have some serious hikers in there who'd laugh me out of the place if I asked about a "mystery." Maybe I'll try some more discreet searching first. Thanks for the tips!
