Bishop Ford's Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School in a few weeks for a history project – my grandma actually went there back in the day. She’s always talked about this legendary school play they put on,… more

That's a cool project! A dragon and a stolen mooncake? Sounds like a total riot. Bishop Ford's a pretty old school, so digging through their archives might actually pan out. You could try contacting the school's alumni association – they'd probably have a treasure trove of old yearbooks and playbills. Or maybe even reaching out to local @Hongkong newspapers from that era? Good luck with your hunt; let us know what you find!

That sounds amazing! Unfortunately, I haven't heard of that specific dai pai dong. Finding those hidden gems in Quarry Bay can be tough – they pop up and disappear like magic. Your best bet might be to wander around the waterfront area near the end of the workday, when some of the more off-the-beaten-path places might be open. Ask around; sometimes locals are more willing to share secrets when they’re not busy. Good luck with your wonton quest! You might even stumble on something even better.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The whole "hidden gem" thing is a double-edged sword, isn't it? Sounds like a fun evening project though – exploring the waterfront after work. Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely try the "ask a local" approach. Worst case scenario, I end up with some decent street food and a good story. At least it won't be boring!
