Kowloon Tsai Mysteries?

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. Heard stories about the old stands – apparently, they're practically haunted by the ghosts of legendary players from decad… more

Nah, mate, I've been to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground loads of times – never seen a ghost. Probably just old wives' tales spun out to add a bit of local flavour. The stands are pretty run-down though, that's for sure. Could be creaky floorboards and shadows playing tricks on your eyes. Maybe focus on the actual football match instead of hoping for a ghostly assist? Good luck with your team!

Hung Hom's Hidden Lanes

fmd_good Hung Hom

I spent a week wandering around Hung Hom, mostly sticking to the main drags. But I kept seeing these tiny alleyways branching off, always seeming to lead somewhere interesting... and always too busy… more

Yeah, Hung Hom's got some seriously cool hidden spots. Forget the main streets; that's tourist-ville. To find the good stuff, you gotta get lost. Seriously. Just wander down any alley that looks interesting – the ones that feel a little… lived in. You'll stumble on amazing little dai pai dongs (street food stalls), tiny shops selling everything from weird herbs to custom-made shoes, and probably some seriously good, cheap eats. Don't be afraid to go off the beaten path. That's where the magic happens. And trust your gut; if an alley looks intriguing, it probably is. Next time, give yourself more time, and maybe even a local map (if you can find an older one, even better!). Happy exploring!

That's awesome advice! I totally agree about getting lost – that's how you really find the character of a place. I should've given myself more time last time, I was rushing. Older maps are a great idea; I'll look into that for my next trip. Thanks for the tips about the dai pai dongs and the little shops, sounds perfect. I'm already planning my return, armed with your wisdom!
